So here is the plan which worked for me, i have not mentioned how many hours you should spend each day because it may vary from person to person.
Plan for first 7 days
Completing the online course (25 hrs) mentioned in the study materials page
Plan for 8 -11 days
Prerequisite – AWS Account Free tier
Working out the lab exercises mentioned in the course individually without following the video step by step. (10 Hours)
Go through the video before you start your practise, Don’t see the video while doing the hands on, try to troubleshoot yourself without going to video if things are not working as expected
Plan for 12 – 15 days
Read the whitepapers mentioned in the important topics section. Complete one paper per day.
Plan for 16 -18 days
Go through the FAQ’s mentioned in the important topics section. Plan yourself so that you can complete all the services within 3 days.
Plan for 19th and 20th day
Go through everything which you have learned from 1 to 18 days, and prepare for the first mock as like how you will prepare for the real exam
Plan for 21st day
Take the first mock exam and analyse the results on the same day.
Plan for 22-25 day
Prepare well for the second mock test and also revise all the concepts, if possible for through the important video lectures once again
Plan for 26th day
Take the second mock exam and analyse the results on the same day
Plan for 27th day
Give more importance to the topics which you have wrongly answered in the second mock exam.
Plan for 28th day
Take the third mock exam and analyse the results on the same day, hopefully you would have improved a lot by this time.
Plan for 29th and 30th day
Revise all the concepts and give more importance to the more confusing areas, and you are all set to appear for the certification exam.
P.S. – I have really spent less than 30 days to clear this exam, but after the exam i have felt that i would have scored more marks if i have really used my 30 day plan strategy.
hi thanks for information of preparation what is % required to get certified as aws solution archutect..

Hi Nagesh,
AWS has not set any threshold for passing the exam, but if you take more than 70% in the exam then you are pretty safe. Pass marks may vary between 65% to 70% based upon the questions picked up for you. Hope it helps.

I have no experience in designing application. Will doing a certification course help me in getting job?

Hi,
I don’t think, you will immediately get a job after this certification, whereas if you clear one more certification in AWS, definitely there are plenty of opportunities in the market. To be honest, this certification does not always end you in getting a job, but it will be helpful in getting your profile shortlisted for any AWS job requirement.

Hi Vinoth, Thank you for sharing the info. In this on 21st day schedule you have mentioned the Mock test & Analyze results. Are you referring to the 20 AWS sample questions or any other Mock test ?

Hi Vinoth,
Could you please let us know the amount of time spent per day for this 30 day plan considering the fact that most of us are working professionals and may not be able to spend too much time off work.
Basically I am looking at an answer such as say 1 hr or 2 hr or say 4 hr per day is required to stick to this plan.

Hi Vinoth,
Thank you the great plan & information.
I am new to AWS & currently working full-time in IT. I want start preparing for the certification, please let me know when you say 25hr in first week…that’s like going over the acloudguru( assuming I opt for it) 23 hr training in a week. Can you please explain if you just listen to the videos or took notes also the first week. Also that mean spending 3+ hrs/day.. difficult to achieve for me but I am very excited to prepare.
Thanks again

Hi Prasad,
Thanks for reading my blog. Yes i also took quick notes during the course which helped me on the exam day to go through all the concepts quickly. If you are not able to spend 3 hours you can still change it the way you wanted.. As long as you are covering the course. You will be able to clear the examination easily. Thanks
